The bitch is back and you can’t get away from him.

Elton John is everywhere these days, and his music will serve as the musical theme for next Wednesday’s “American Idol,” so expect an appearance by the Rocket Man himself.

It was also announced this week that Elton will host “Saturday Night Live” on April 2, and share musical duties with his pal Leon Russell. The two recorded an album together, The Union, which came out last year. Elton recently got to induct Russell into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, with the ceremony carried last week by the Fuse cable network.

Last Wednesday night, during a concert in Pittsburgh, Elton paid tribute to his good friend Elizabeth Taylor, who had died earlier that day, dedicating “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me” to her.

See “Idol” Tackle Motown:

“God bless you, Elizabeth. God knows how we’re going to replace you. This is for you and your beautiful memory and for all of the people you helped and saved,” he said about his fellow AIDS activist, before launching into the song.

Elton also appears on the upcoming debut album from Glee’s Matthew Morrison, singing a duet with Mr. Schuester on a mash-up of his own “Mona Lisa and Mad Hatters” and “Rocket Man.”

Elton’s also been in the news with plans to host a gala party for the April 29 wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton at the reportedly “stunning” British home Elton shares with David Furnish and their baby son Zachary next to the Windsor Castle. The dinner, with a guest list that includes Victoria and David Beckham, will take place three weeks before the Westminster Abbey nuptials and is Elton’s way of thanking the pair for his invitation to the historic marriage.
