“Friday Night Curse” be damned!
“Fringe” has been renewed for a fourth season, it was announced Thursday.
Fox has given the go ahead for a full-season order of 22 new episodes for the culty, sci-fi show, Deadline.com reports.
The future of the show was somewhat in question, after it was moved this season from Thursdays to Fridays, where it has performed unevenly in the ratings on the notoriously difficult programming night.
Nonetheless, the network has a big supporter of the Joshua Jackson-Anna Torv series, which has a loyal fan following.
Executive producer J.H. Wyman delivered the early good news to the “Fringe”-verse via Twitter: “Fringe was picked up!!!! … Thanks Fringedom!”
A new episode of “Fringe” airs tonight at 9 p.m./EST on Fox.
