Arnold Schwarzenegger is carefully executing his acting comeback, and his first foray post-politics will be in television.

Details of the super-secret project–which will be Schwarzenegger’s first role since stepping down as Governor of California–are being kept tightly under wraps, but we do know that Arnold has described it as “an international TV series.”

It’s suspected that the ex-governator is working on an animated series in conjunction with former DIC chairman and CEO Andy Heyward, who’s now in charge of children’s entertainment company A Squared, Deadline.com reports.

Speculation surrounds another possibility: a collaboration with Stan Lee Comics–who also has a partnership with A Squared, according to Deadline.

Fueling that theory is a recent comment from Schwarzenegger himself to one of his fan sites, TheArnoldFans.com: “I am packaging a Comic Book character right now. I’m going to announce that sometime at the end of March or the beginning of April.”

The most logical Schwarzenegger character to be in ‘toon with TV animation? The Terminator. So … stay tuned!

Schwarzenegger will make an official announcement on this new mystery project at a press conference in Cannes, France, on Monday, April 4.

In February, Schwarzenegger revealed his plans to return to acting after seven years in office.
