Star Jones has upped the ante in her public feud with “Celebrity Apprentice” costar Lisa Rinna, accusing Rinna of “harassment” and calling in the lawyers.
Jones collected a series of since-deleted tweets from Rinna and a stack of emails and turned them in to NBC’s legal department making the harassment claim, according to E! online.
There was clearly no love lost between the two on the show – which is for charity, people ¬– and Rinna was booted this week, in no small part thanks to Jones’ maneuvering. But that was taped last fall. Since then, Rinna has gone on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show and complained that Jones and her team threw her under the bus.

Jones, in turn, has pointed to tweets from Rinna, like the one of her next to a monster costume with the caption “Great picture of me and Star Jones!!!!”, and said they were “evidence of (Rinna’s) instability.
Jones, a lawyer herself, has roped in legal from The Trump Organization and Mark Burnett Productions to make Rinna stop.
“Star declined to make the cause of concern public as to not take away from her purpose of doing the show, which is charity,” a rep for Jones told E! News.
NBC, Trump and Burnett haven’t commented on the situation.
E! News quoted an insider saying Jones is taking the situation very seriously. “Lisa was so furious she was kicked off so early and blamed it all on Star. Lisa went home and started sending nasty emails. Star just collected it all and handed them over. It’s in legal’s hands now and they’ve warned Lisa to stop,” the insider said.
Carping about a former coworker is old hat for Jones, who previously called her costars on “The View” “hateful” after she left that show.
