When Larry King departed his longtime home on CNN, the veteran news broadcaster publicly began discussing his interest in performing standup comedy, but it appears he might finally be making a move in that direction, thanks to Comedy Central’s Jon Stewart.
Stewart’s “Daily Show” team has reportedly discussed bringing King on board as a contributor to the show, while King himself has been boasting that the agreement is official, according to the New York Post.

Meanwhile, The Hollywood Reporter has reached out to “Daily Show” representatives and were told, “the possibly has been discussed.”
Should King actually become a member of the “Daily Show” family, talk is that his appearances would be comparable to Lewis Black and John Hodgman, rather than a regular correspondent that appears nearly every night.
