With Kendra Wilkinson following in the footsteps of Holly Madison by going on “Dancing with the Stars,” you’d think the E! reality star would be ringing up her former “Girls Next Door” pal for some advice.

Well, think again.

It was the question on everyone’s mind Monday night at the “DWTS” Season 12 cast reveal event in Los Angeles, but just as the words “Are you going to…” came out of our mouth, we saw the look on Kendra’s face and knew what the answer would be.

“No. I’m not,” she said flatly of calling Madison, who appeared on the show in 2009 and placed eighth. “The only advice I’ll take is from my coach. I’m keeping it simple.” And, by “coach,” she means her dance partner, who will be announced on “Good Morning America” Wednesday morning.

Even though the opening credits for her reality show “Kendra” on E! features the former Playmate dancing, and even though we’ve seen her get down on the dance floor and “pop her booty” on both “Girls Next Door” and “Kendra,” this “Dancing” hopeful says she’s coming in with “zero experience.”

“I have experience free styling and doing my Kendra dance,” she tells us. “I can pop my booty. But there are a lot of dances where you don’t pop your booty. It’s about different things, different dances, different moves. It’s all about etiquette and posture and that’s what I need to work on. That’s what I never had. The things I think are right are wrong and the things I think are wrong are right. It’s completely upside down for me. It’s different.”

Lucky for her, she has a teacher-coach-partner who pushes her. “If you’re too slow teaching me, I’m kind of ADD, I doze off and, you know, ‘What did you just say?’ Just push me. Just do it. That’s what my teacher is good at; he knows how to just push me in. He doesn’t teach me, he just says, ‘Do this!’”
