Chris Medina didn’t cry when he was eliminated on last night’s “American Idol,” but Jennifer Lopez shed more than enough tears for them both. After delivering the news that the “Idol” favorite didn’t make it into the show’s top 24, Lopez broke down. “I don’t feel like I told him in the right way,” she sniffled, covering her eyes to reveal distractingly purple fingernails. Comforted by Steven Tyler, Randy Jackson, and several Kleenex, she sobbed, “I felt so bad. I don’t want to do this anymore.” Watch her emotional reaction below:
On the plus side, there’s good news for Medina fans. He’ll be performing on “The Tonight Show” this Friday. Per NBC, Medina will sing “What Are Words,” a song inspired by his moving love story with disabled fiancee Juliana Ramos. Medina will be accompanied by Rickey Minor and The Tonight Show Band.
