Warning: This story contains a spoiler.
”American Idol” contestant Casey Abrams, who has wowed audiences with his ability to scat, while playing melodica and stand-up bass, was reportedly rushed to Cedars Sinai after beginning to feel sick while rehearsing at CBS Television City, according to TMZ.com.
On Wednesday night’s “Idol,” Abrams performed a rousing version of “Hard Day’s Night” on acoustic guitar alongside Chris Medina and then told the judges that “it would kill me” not to advance.
In the most emotional moment of the season thus far, Medina was cut. Abrams was among those who didn’t have to worry.
SPOILER ALERT: And although it hasn’t been revealed on the show yet, the 19-year-old Idyllwild, CA, native who wowed the judges in Austin and everywhere along the way, has made it to the Final 24.
TMZ says sources told them Abrams was expected to stay overnight and possibly longer after being examined by doctors.
With Abrams having made the Top 24, he’s scheduled to tape a performance on Friday along with the rest of the top 12 men. If Abrams is not well enough to take the stage on Friday, he’ll be forced to drop out of the competition.
