Another movie star is joining the TV party.
In what will be her first major television role, Ashley Judd is finalizing a deal to star in the ABC action series “Missing,” according to Deadline.com.
The series, formerly known under the working titles “Safe” and “Hall of Mirrors,” follows a CIA agent and single mother named Becca Winstone who sets off on a very personal mission to find her 18-year-old son after he disappears in Italy while studying abroad. Production is scheduled to begin late next month in Rome, Vienna and Prague, with a fall launch date in mind.
Judd, 42, briefly flirted with television back in the early ’90s with a part on the TV show “Sisters” and with her Emmy-nominated role in the 1996 TV movie “Norma Jean and Marilyn.”
