TOP PICK:Survivor: Redemption Island‘ (8pm ET on CBS) **Season Premiere**

This edition of ‘Survivor’ will feature a new twist when, for the first time, castaways who have been eliminated from the game will have an opportunity to seek redemption and return for a chance to win the million dollar prize. Each week at Tribal Council when a castaway is voted off, they will be sent to an isolated island called “Redemption Island,” where they will live alone in exile. To stay on Redemption Island, they will need to compete in a duel against the next person eliminated at Tribal Council and sent to the Island.

KEY EPISODE:American Idol‘ (8pm ET on Fox)

Judges Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler join host Ryan Seacrest in Hollywood to begin winnowing down the contestants. Hopefuls chosen from around the nation endure grueling rehearsals and pressure-packed auditions as they vie for a coveted spot among the Top 20 in the “Hollywood Round, Part 2″ episode.

WATCH:Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior‘ (10pm ET on CBS) **Series Premiere**

This new series is a drama about an elite team of agents within the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) who use unconventional methods of investigation and aggressive tactics to capture the nation’s most nefarious criminal and is a spinoff of ‘Criminal Minds.’ Unit chief Special Agent Sam Cooper is a mentally and physically fierce natural leader who is not afraid to put his career on the line in order to stand by his convictions.

DVR:Mr. Sunshine‘ (9:30pm ET on ABC)

Nick Jonas guest stars as teen heartthrob Eli White. Crystal decides to hold a contest to determine the Employee of the Year, but unbeknownst to the staff, a winner has already been pre-determined. Meanwhile, as Ben contends with catering to Eli’s needs, he must also keep the rest of the employees from being distracted by the fake contest and get the arena ready in time for Eli’s performance.

DVR:Law & Order: SVU‘ (10pm ET on NBC)

When Alicia Harding (guest star Debra Messing), host of the television series “Neighborhood Predator,” begins to receive personal threats, her life-long pursuit to find her sister’s abductor emerges. Detectives Olivia Benson and Odafin “Fin” Tutola are joined in the investigation by ADA Sonya Paxton, who may be too involved in the case.
