Russell Brand Brings Brit Wit To SNL

Russell Brand hosted “Saturday Night Live” last night with musical guest Chris Brown. With nary a Katy Perry appearance (she is in Los Angeles preparing for tonight’s Grammys), the Englishman held is own in an episode heavy with British-influenced sketches.
The best of the bunch was a mock movie trailer for “Don’ You Go Rounin’ Roun To Re Ro,’” a film notable for its indecipherable English accents (keep your eyes peeled for a bizarrely dreadlocked Brand):
Brand boasted of his patriotism in the opening monologue, where he also took time to self-mockingly explain to naysayers that he truly is a star — overseas:
In a bit taken directly from the Monty Python catalog of men-as-women-with-high-pitched-voices, Brand, Bill Hader, and Andy Samberg sipped on “A Spot of Tea”:
Although it would have been spectacular to see an outrageously outfitted Brand join Weekend Update city correspondent Stefon, Bill Hader delivered memorable Valentine’s Day tips while losing himself in a giggle fit:
Finally, the best performance of the night belonged to Taran Killam, whose spot-on Eminem impression won cheers from the audience:
