The CW series “Smallville” will fly off into the sunset with a two-hour series finale May 13.

After ten seasons, the story of Clark Kent (Tom Welling) will wrap up his fight against Darkseid, an evil force that wants to turn him into a weapon, and his struggle to save the world, which is being divided over the Vigilante Registration Act. The future Man of Steel will also be starting his life with fiancée Lois Lane (Erica Durance).

“Paying homage to 10 seasons is no small task, and wrapping up each character and story arc has been extremely important to everyone involved in the show,” said executive producers Brian Peterson and Kelly Souders.

“We’re excited to be able to make the final moments of ‘Smallville’ a television event, as the character we’ve grown up with makes his legendary transformation.”

Supernatural” will not air on May 13, but that series will return with its own two-hour season finale May 20.
