NEW YORK – Two of the three U.S. network evening newscasts are sending their anchors to Egypt to base their programs at the scene of the political unrest there.
Everyday life in Cairo has been turned upside down by the largest anti-government protests in Egypt in decades. Demonstrators have pressed for the ouster of President Hosni Mubarak. Egypt’s military has promised not to fire on any peaceful protests.
