Attorney Gloria Allred is notorious for her involvement in celebrity and high-profile court cases, but the pseudo-celebrity is ready to take on a new challenge by giving herself a promotion and start wearing judge’s robes.

Entertainment Studios, Inc. has tapped Allred to star as the judge in a new syndicated courtroom series, “We the People With Gloria Allred,” prompting the company’s lead executive to tout his latest star, “It is unprecedented to have the biggest name in law come to television and be part of one of its most successful genres.”

“We the People” is aiming for a fall launch, taking its place alongside courtroom shows like “Justice with Judge Jeanine” and “Judge Judy,” the latter proving a ratings winner that still rivals Oprah Winfrey in the numbers game after debuting nearly 15 years ago.

Allred sounds geared up for her new career, saying, “I am fully committed to making ‘We The People’ a huge success.”
