The daddy drama on “Royal Pains” continues for the HankMed guys when Season 2 returns this Thursday, Jan. 20 at 9 p.m./EST on USA Networks.

“So the question is, how is the dynamic gonna play out between Evan’s prediction that our father [Henry Winkler] had his heart in the right place and mine that it wasn’t–and now we’ve switched roles,” star Mark Feuerstein (who plays Hank Lawson) explains to us. “I kind of believe in our dad more and Evan [Paulo Costanzo] doesn’t, and it goes back and forth over the course of the next six episodes.”

It does, until it doesn’t. “Yeah, until the final one where the facts are looking horrible for our father and his legal situation,” he continues. “It’s not looking good from the beginning, but it gets worse. And yet, beautifully enough, we seem to be there for him together and it’s a really nice arc that goes from point A to point B.”

So, where do they stand in the end? “With my brother and me standing on either side of our father wondering: Will he stay? Will he go?” adds Feuerstein.
