Another movie star is headed to the small screen — and we’re talking a big star. Oscar nominated actress and all-around Hollywood sweetheart Anne Hathaway will make a guest appearance on an upcoming episode of “Glee,” according to E! News.

Creator Ryan Murphy confirmed the news backstage at the Golden Globes, right after the hit show won a Golden Globe for Best Series.

“She created her own character, and we ran into her, and I said ‘Really?’ and she said ‘Yes!’ so we’re going to do that,” Murphy told E!. “We love her.”

The news also was a surprise for some of the cast as well.

‘He just said it about ten minutes ago,” laughed Amber Riley.

Chris Colfer has said that his imaginary dream “Glee” family would include Hathaway and Julie Andrews, and that dream might just become a reality.

“Can you imagine a family with myself, Mike O’Malley, Julie Andrews and Anne Hathaway?” he said. “That’s one hell of a family!”

Hathaway, who will host the Oscars with James Franco next month, joins a growing list of celebrities who have made memorable appearances on ‘Glee,’ including Gwyneth Paltrow, Kristen Chenoweth, Neil Patrick Harris, Idina Menzel, Olivia Newton-John and Britney Spears.

The ‘Glee’ win for Best Series comes on top of Colfer’s emotional win for Best Supporting Actor in a Series and Jane Lynch’s win for Best Supporting Actress.

Thanks to all the wins, cast members are sure to be singing a happy tune today.
