“I am nothing if not falsely humble.” — Jane Lynch, accepting her award for best supporting actress in a TV series.

“Somehow all of these women rendered exquisite performances without a shred of help from me, so I guess I’m just saying, I’d give it to all five of you. At once. The award …” — Robert Downey Jr., in a bawdy presentation of the award for best comedic actress in a motion picture that started with him joking that he’d slept with all the nominees.
