Is bestselling author, talk show host and pop culture provocateur Chelsea Handler taking over E! With all the projects she has in the works there, she may as well be. (Of course, she’d have to battle Ryan Seacrest.) But she is taking on an addition role at E! – producer. Branching out from her late night perch as host of “Chelsea Lately,” she and producing partner Tom Brunelle have gotten the go-ahead for a “pop culture-driven show starring Chelsea Lately regulars Heather McDonald and Ross Mathews,” reports Deadline.com. Handler also has in the works an Oprah-like behind-the-scenes show called “After Lately” and another late night talk show hosted by comic Whitney Cummings. Matthews told Deadline that his show, titled “Love and Hate,” is about “two super-fans passionately discussing their views on the ridiculousness of pop culture.” We think these shows are Handler’s way of saying she can do better than 50 Cent – she can make a real buck. Do you watch “Chelsea Lately”? Would you tune in to see McDonald and Mathews discuss Lindsay Lohan’s release from rehab and Paula Abdul’s new show?
