Chord Overstreet’s name seemingly made him destined to land a role on “Glee.“  His character, the semi-dorky jock Sam, has been one of the highlights of this season.  Other than his parents’ whimsical taste in nomenclature, little is known about the actor, whose highest profile prior credit was guest starring role on “iCarly.”  Fox has come to the rescue with a video in which the actor reveals ten facts about himself.  The verdict… Overstreet is not nearly as interesting as his name.  His interests include watching sports on television and eating sweets.   Could he be any more generic?  However, he does have a couple of Gleek-worthy personality quirks.  He enjoys cutting grass (a reference to Finn’s groundskeeper psuedo-stepdad with a mullet who disappeared after the pilot?) and he enjoys Riverdancing.  Yes, the Irish folkdance craze that made Michael Flatley into a sex symbol for soccer Moms about a decade ago.  Apparently, Overstreet enjoys marching in unison to jaunty tunes.  Ryan Murphy, take note.  A Riverdance production number would be awesome.  Watch Overstreet’s video and learn all about his high stepping ways.
