TOP PICK: ‘How I Met Your Mother‘ (8pm ET on CBS)
When Marshall and Lily receive shocking news, it has a profound effect on the gang and forces them to reexamine their own lives. Meanwhile, Robin gets a new job, Barney discovers the joy of giving on Christmas and Ted begins his duties as Best Man for his old friend Punchy’s wedding.
SEASON PREMIERE: ‘Intervention‘ (9pm on A&E)
The new season of ‘Intervention’ will feature some of the most gripping stories to date including: a young female artist living on the streets of NYC, forced to panhandle to support her heroin habit; a tough street kid who shares a dangerous methadone addiction with his ailing mother and a small town addict with a pill habit that has already resulted in a tragic, life-altering injury.
WATCH: ‘The Sing-Off‘ (9pm ET on NBC)
After uniting for an amped-up performance of Green Day’s “21 Guns,” the six remaining groups are put to the test when they are asked to sing rock tunes. They later shift their energy as they perform their favorite guilty pleasure songs. However, the pleasure doesn’t last for one of the groups, who will be eliminated before the night is over.
DVR: ‘Hawaii Five-0‘ (10pm ET on CBS)
It’s Christmas in Hawaii, but instead of celebrating, Five-0 is negotiating a hostage situation when the man who killed McGarrett’s father resurfaces. The murderer, Victor Hesse, threatens to detonate an explosive that he’s strapped to Chin Ho’s chest.
DVR: ‘Chase‘ (10pm ET on NBC)
On the hunt for fugitive Carson Puckett (guest star Enver Gjokaj) who is using explosives to get revenge, Annie gets injured and is forced to rely on bounty hunter Ben Crowley (guest star Eddie Cibrian). In Annie’s absence, under Jimmy’s leadership, the team must use Daisy’s tactical expertise to stop Puckett.
