Gwyneth Paltrow made a splash “Singing in the Rain” with her “Umbrella” (and hunk Matthew Morrison) during her guest stint on “Glee” for November sweeps.
Now comes word that Holly Holiday is hitting the halls of McKinley High once more. Holla! Paltrow reveals she’ll reprise her role as the too-cool-for-school “substitute teacher” in an upcoming episode.
“I’m going to do one more,” Paltrow tells “Access Hollywood.” “I signed up for two … so I’m excited!”
Calling her experience on the show “the best job ever,” Paltrow gushed about “Glee.”
“Just the incredible challenge of getting off a plane, going to record four songs immediately in one afternoon, and then having to learn all the dance numbers in like 20 minutes,” she says of getting in tune with what it takes to be a “Gleek.” “I love Ryan Murphy. He’s an old friend of mine and I was just in awe of everybody’s talent and getting to work with Jane Lynch, and Matt Morrison is so adorable and all the kids – it was just great. It was really fun.”
Meanwhile, some kids in the Glee club had to take a sick day, according to EW.
An outbreak of tonsillitis hit several members of the cast, including Dianna Agron (who plays Quinn) and Kevin McHale (who plays Artie), forcing Fox to shut down production on Friday.
The cast was filming a biggie — musical numbers that are part of the super-duper post-Super Bowl episode. Production was expected to resume Monday.
