When it comes to the great TV dads, ‘Family Ties‘ ultra-liberal, former hippie Steven Keaton (Michael Gross) is arguably up there with the best.

Gross will return to primetime TV (he appeared on ‘The Young and the Restless‘ last year) for a guest spot in an upcoming episode of ABC’s ‘Brothers & Sisters‘ as a romantic foil for Saul Holden (Ron Rifkin), reports E!Online.

E! also reports that Gross’s character is a food critic “who visits to the restaurant and eventually tries to come between Saul and his boyfriend, played by Richard Chamberlain.”

A date for the episode has not been announced yet. ‘Brothers & Sisters’ airs on ABC Sundays at 10 p.m.
