This week’s episode of MTV’s ‘16 and Pregnant‘ showed the family of a father-to-be in a particularly harsh light – at least according to the family, who is threatening to sue the network for defamation, TMZ reports.

Kathleen Green, who was made a great-grandmother by the birth of Destiny to her grandson Isiah, claims the show contrived events to make the family seem reckless and unsupportive, saying “nothing that aired is what happened” in reality.

Green is particularly peeved about a scene involving a DNA test she bought for Destiny’s 16-year-old mom Christinna, claiming she came off as cold-hearted because producers edited out a key piece of info.: “They didn’t show that (Christinna) had told us she had had sex with some other guy.”

Green claims MTV producers set up shots and heavily edited footage.

MTV has not commented on the allegations.
