Poor Kate Gosselin can’t catch a break – just ask her. One of the most controversial moms in America made the rounds again with an explanation for her family’s recent woes.
Of the latest headlines concerning six-year-olds Collin and Alexis, she says they weren’t “expelled” but rather “(the school) did not feel they could meet their needs anymore, so it was decided they should leave, for now,” she told People magazine.
She reiterated the point this morning on ‘Today‘ saying the kids are in tutoring.
The reason they’re struggling? It’s dad’s fault. “They’ve been the ones to verbalize the most that they miss Daddy,” she told the magazine. “I could see that they’re the ones struggling the most.”
The ‘Kate Plus Eight‘ star says the two kids are seeing a therapist and dealing with “post-divorce anger” which caused them to act out.
Jon’s Tweeted apology last month didn’t count for much, Kate also told Meredith Vieira.
“I have never personally been apologized to,” Kate said. “I don’t personally consider an interview on TV or a tabloid as an apology, unfortunately. But I have strangely and ironically forgiven him for the sake of my kids.”
Kate Says She Forgives Jon
Meanwhile, “someone close to the celebrity mother” – who clearly has no sense of irony – told Radaronline.com that Kate is “sad and lonely with few true friends.” (Like the kind who don’t talk to online gossip magazines?)
The “friend” says Kate spends her time going tanning or getting her nails done or going on long jogs to stay in shape.”Kate just finds it hard to be friendly towards people and is very domineering – at the moment she is pre-occupied with looking her best and keeping-up appearances,” the source said.
The fact that she doesn’t go out and have fun is also someone else’s fault. “The paparazzi are camped outside her home a lot of the time and often she will just not go out which is sad for her kids too.”
Addressing other rumors, Kate denied on ‘Today’ that her show had been canceled.
