Always outspoken Bill O’Reilly took to his conservative soapbox last night to call for the head of anyone leaking classified government documents to the website WikiLeaks.com

“(They) should be executed or put in prison for life,” he declared on his nightly Fox News Channel show.

“Classified information is now floating around the internet courtesy of these traitors and this despicable website, which is based in Sweden.

“The guy who runs the website is a sleazeball named Julian Assange, who is bent on damaging America.  Since he’s not a U.S. citizen, it’s hard for American authorities to move against him. But we can prosecute those who leak the documents.”

The ‘O’Reilly Factor‘ host also blasted Army intelligence analyst Bradley Manning, who is already under military arrest following the first WikiLeaks scandal earlier this year.

“If guilty, Manning is a traitor and should be given life and hard labor in a military prison,” he said.

The website – which was knocked off line Tuesday by a massive cyber attack – recently posted more than 250,000 top secret diplomatic files, many revealing details about the inner-workings of the U.S. State Department.

“The fact that the USA cannot keep its secrets secret anymore, badly damages our intelligence gathering going forward,” O’Reilly insisted.  “We live in a dangerous world.  We must have secure plans to protect ourselves.  And right now we don’t.  The whole thing is embarrassing and ultra, ultra disturbing.”
