It’s the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, one of the busiest travel day of the year, and considering the hullabaloo surrounding the new TSA naked-scanners and overly invasive grope-downs, you might be concerned about what you’ll have to face at the airport today. To help put you at ease, here are some hints and tips from late night television.
For starters, last night’s ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ showed us an instructional video from TSA chief Joe Pistole as to what sort of touching is acceptable from airport security, so be sure to study this and be prepared.
Next, ‘Late Night with Jimmy Fallon’ carefully weighs out the Pros & Cons of holiday traveling.
Meanwhile, over on ‘Conan,’ Conan O’Brien gives us a little perspective, noting that TSA employees aren’t exactly thrilled with the new invasive procedures themselves.
‘The Late Show with David Letterman’ also gave us a different view on things, offering up some insight as to how you can avoid subjecting yourself to “The Full Spitzer” by taking a Greyhound bus instead of a plane.
On ‘Chelsea Lately,’ Chelsea Handler reminded us that avoiding the airlines altogether and taking to the American roadways doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll be avoiding all the troubles.
So maybe you can take a cue from ‘Saturday Night Live,’ and try to look at the whole security rigmarole with an open mind in a different way.
