What are you, a tough guy wife? If you’re looking for something grittier than the ‘Real Housewives’ and their hoity toity air kisses, then VH1’s got your kiss of death right here. Introducing: ‘Mob Wives.’

According to the LA Times, the 10-episode series—co-produced by Ben Silverman and the Weinstein Co. (‘Project Runway’)—is about four ladies who are trying to create a new life for themselves as their husbands and fathers do time in the clink for Mob-related crime. (Will there be table flipping? Teresa Giudice wants to know.)

Production begins after Thanksgiving, and the show is scheduled to air in March 2011. Since we’ve already seen our fair share of orange people and loud French manicures, our expectations are high. We will be watching—and judging.

What do you think? Are you excited to see a new type of ‘Real Housewives’—Mob style?
