It’s Official: CBS Cancels ‘Medium’

UPDATE: CBS’ haunted crime procedural ‘Medium’ has been canceled after seven seasons.

Series creator Glenn Gordon Caron posted a message on Facebook to fans confirming the news that first emerged Monday after star Patricia Arquette let the ghost out of the bag:

A message to MEDIUM fans from series creator Glenn Gordon Caron:

“It’s true. Allison Dubois will dream her last dream on “Medium”, Friday, January 21st. In what we believe will be a series defining episode, Allison and her family will stare destiny in the eye. And destiny will not blink.”

Patricia Arquette has seen the future, and in it ‘Medium’ is no longer on the air.

“We got canceled,” the actress told Entertainment Weekly at a weekend event, confirming the CBS drama’s fate in the wake of its current season being slashed to just 13 episodes.

Arquette told the mag that her effort to pump the show’s writing staff for scoop on the series finale came up empty, “but they’re really excited about it. They’re like, ‘We’re just going to burn the whole thing down!’”
