Is Rick Fox smarter than the Vegas odds-makers?
The former NBA star says he’d put his money on Bristol Palin to pull off the ultimate upset and win season 11 of ‘Dancing with the Stars’.
“I have called her a dark horse from week two – because I know it is not just a dance competition. It is a popularity contest, too,” says Fox, who got booted from the ballroom last week, despite receiving higher scores than Palin from the judges.
“As a young woman, younger audiences connect with her. We contestants all got to know her a little bit. As you see those little bits shine through, you think ‘I want to see more of that.’
“So quite honestly, I have to say I want to see more of her coming out of her shell.”
While Nevada law prohibits gambling on televised celebrity ballroom dancing, John Avello at Wynn Las Vegas has given Fancast his latest just-for-fun odds:
JENNIFER GREY & DEREK HOUGH: 8 to 5
BRANDY & MAKSI CHMERKOVSKIY: 2 to 1
KYLE MASSEY & LACY SCHWIMMER: 4 to 1
BISTOL PALIN & MARK BALLAS: 7 to 1
