Rock ‘n roll badass Kid Rock thinks ‘American Idol‘ can cause more harm than good for its young, inexperienced contestants.

“I don’t think there’s any bigger curse in life than to be famous with no money,” he declares during ‘Kid Rock: On The Record with Fuse’, airing Friday at 7:00 PM.

“I think that’s the devil’s work. I think (Idol) sets a lot of those kids up for that.”

New ‘Idol’ Changes: Instrument Limits and Live-In Contestants

Rock — who recently called Steven Tyler’s decision to join the show “the stupidest thing he has ever done in his life” – insists he doesn’t knock the contestants for trying to become famous.

“They’re just trying to be stars, get their music career. But I disagree with the process of grabbing these kids before got to experience some things and get some chops, get some scars, get some feel, hit some clubs, learn how to write a song, get kicked out a few times.”

Does he have a point?  Or is Kid just behaving like a jealous baby?
