NBC spies no future for ‘Undercovers,’ and as such has opted not to grant a full-season order to the freshman romantic-espionage drama.

CW’s ‘Life’ Gets Cut Short: What Other Shows Are In Danger?

Exec-produced by Josh Reims (‘Brothers & Sisters’) and J.J. Abrams (‘Lost’) and starring Boris Kodjoe and Gugu Mbatha-Raw, ‘Undercovers’ is now scheduled to air three more episodes – on Nov. 10, Nov. 17 and Dec. 1. That will leave three unaired hours on the shelf, to possibly (though not likely) be burned off at a later date.

In its most recent outing, ‘Undercovers’ drew just 5.8 million total viewers and delivered a series-low rating in the 18-to-49 demo (1.3). Typically, it has been bested every Wednesday night at 8 by all comers save for The CW’s ‘Top Model.’

The New Show You Most Want Saved Is…

In a recent polling of XfinityTV.com users, ‘Undercovers’ placed third among freshman shows you would like to see get picked up for a full season, netting just 12% of the vote.

Why do you think ‘Undercovers’ was unable to complete its first-year mission? How did the show fall short, in your opinion?
