The ‘Supernanny‘ is hanging up her cape.
Jo Frost is quitting her ABC show, according to The New York Post. It seems TV’s favorite disciplinarian is done with putting other people’s children on the naughty mat–because she wants some wee ones of her own.
“It was a very conscious decision, through much reflection. But I need to create more balance in my life,” Frost, 39, told the Post.
For seven seasons, the tiny-terror wrangler has been a sanity saver for many parents, but all the traveling between England and America since 2004 has left little time for Frost to focus on her personal life.
Because having a family “is not an option when you are traveling and working 46 weeks out of the year,” says Frost, who admits she’s away from home so much, she doesn’t even have one (she still lives at home with her father in the U.K.).
Currently single and ready to date, Frost is looking forward to being able to be the one to play for once. “Proper balance will allow me to date and have a relationship and look at my own future of having a family.”
“I am definitely excited about dating and being in a committed relationship,” Frost adds. “That is all exciting stuff for me around the corner.”
‘Supernanny’ returns with new episodes Friday, Nov. 5, at 8 p.m./EST on ABC.
