George Lopez is the king of Halloween – at least in the celebrity-filled town of Toluca Lake, California.

The host of ‘Lopez Tonight‘ opened the doors of his $5 million hideaway to almost 2000 sugar-seeking trick-or-treaters Sunday night, making him he popular comic on the block.

“A lot of the rich people around here — (neighbors include Steve Carrel, Hilary Duff and Jenny Garth) — don’t like to give out candy on Halloween,” neighbor Carr Donald tells Fancast.com “But not George. He’s a real nice guy.

“He hired two football player-sized guys who were using giant buckets to give out huge scoops of Hershey bars, Tootsie Rolls and Smarties. He must have spent at least a thousand dollars on candy!”

In recent years, the neighborhood has become a favorite among LA’s costume-clad kids hoping for a glimpse of their favorite stars.

Hellcats‘ beauty Ashley Tisdale and pop sensation Nick Jonas also had to hire help to dole out the sweets to fans.
