Is this another bad dream for Patricia Arquette’s ‘Medium‘?

CBS confirmed it has cut down the season order for the psychic crime procedural from 22 to 13 episodes. The show is getting bumped to make room for the network’s crowded mid-season schedule, which includes such fare as the premiere of the ‘Criminal Minds’ spin-off starring Forest Whitaker.

The future of the ghostly drama may be in the cards–a reduced season could be a sign of the end. While it may not be canceled just yet, the show’s chances for renewal next season are looking as grim as some of Allison DuBois’ visions.

The series, now in its seventh season, was already saved once by a twist of fate. When NBC canceled ‘Medium’ in 2009, it was resurrected on CBS, where it airs on Friday nights at 8 p.m. and draws an average of 8.5 million viewers a week.

Do you think ‘Medium’ should be saved again? Or should CBS put it to sleep for good?
