And now, a story about the clothes that ‘Glee‘ cast members are putting on versus taking off.
This Tuesday at 8/7c, the Fox musical dramedy will do the “Time Warp” as well as other twisted ditties as part of a tribute to the cult film of all cult films, ‘The Rocky Horror Picture Show.’
For the uninitiated, ‘Rocky Horror’ serves up the tale of how mild-mannered sweethearts Brad and Janet came to stumble upon the libidinous lair of Dr. Frank-N-Furter.
There, the stranded motorists are exposed to the very mad scientist’s wild, wanton world and its collection of colorful denizens.
Watch a preview clip here:
‘Glee’s Matthew Morrison says in the video below that since ‘Rocky Horror’ is about “outcasts… trying to fit in,” the material is a “perfect” fit for New Directions.
Jayma Mays – a ‘Rocky Horror’ enthusiast whose ‘Glee’ audition song in fact was “Touch-A Touch-A Touch-A Me” – calls the themed episode “a big deal,” especially falling as it does around Halloweentime.
So in keeping with the autumnal holiday, the ‘Glee’ cast will costume themselves as Brad, Janet, Magenta, Columbia, Riff-Raff (“the best character ever,” raves portrayer Chris Colfer) and of course, the Adonis-like Rocky himself.
‘Glee’ newbie Chord Overstreet, who was tasked with playing the bad doctor’s buff creation, reports that Rocky’s requisite shorts were “super-tight [and] very revealing.” Which kinda sorta brings us back to the GQ topic – almost!
