Wednesday’s dramatic rescue of the 33 Chilean miners is major news, so ABC will broadcast tonight at 10/9c a special edition of ‘20/20‘ titled ‘Miracle At The Mine.’

Hugs Around the World as We Watch Emotional Chilean Miners Rescue

Preempting this week’s episode of the struggling legal dramaThe Whole Truth,’ ‘Miracle At The Mine’ will feature the latest reporting from Bill Weir on the scene in Chile, as the rescued miners are extricated from their dark confines into freedom.

Also, John Quiñones will report on the 69-day ordeal, while Jeffrey Kofma – one of the first American news correspondents to report from the Chile location in August – will detail the logistics and engineering feats of the rescue operation.

ABC News consultant Dr. Richard Besser will offer insight into the future health and psychological concerns facing the 33 miners.

‘The Whole Truth’ is expected to resume its freshman run on Wednesday, Oct. 20.
