ABC’s biggest – and legitimately enjoyable – guilty pleasure,  ‘Wipeout,’ will continue its third season in January with a special winterized flurry of barely navigable obstacle courses.

The show’s “Winter Wonderland” course promises to amp up the degree of difficulty by sprinkling in “slippery ice, frosty snow and numerous avalanches of Wipeouts,” says ABC’s press release.

Brand-new, wintry crucibles to endure include the Spanker Sleds (that doesn’t sound very family-friendly), the Wipeout Ski Lift and the Polar Bear Run.

“It’s exciting to see the brand expanding,” says David Goldberg, chairman of series producer Endemol USA. “I’m thrilled that fans of the summer version will now be able to get their fix of laughs and wipeouts set in a winter wonderland.”

The upcoming winter episodes bring ‘Wipeout’s Season 3 tally to 14.
