Kelly Ripa and TLC are launching an inventing reality show that gives viewers a chance to buy the final product. With HSN, the new six-part series ‘Homemade Millionaire‘ will premiere Nov.19, featuring three women competing for the chance to sell their creations on the Home Shopping Network. (It’s like if ‘Top Chef’ brought a food cart to your office and let you try the Quickfires.)

Ripa will help coach the women, who were found through open casting calls, through a series of tasks designed to help prepare their products for the marketplace, along with the help of business experts Wendy Robbins and Ed Evangelista. Robbins made millions with the Tingler head massager and Evangelista previously appeared on ABC’s ‘American Inventor.’

Special guests from the HSN stable will also make appearances in the hour-long episodes, including Emeril Lagasse (culinary products), James Mischka and Mark Badgley (of the Badgley Mischka clothing line) and Sylvester Stallone’s wife, Jennifer Flavin-Stallone (skin care), among others. Allie Lewis, food editor of Real Simple, and Lori Bergamotto, fashion editor of Lucky magazine are also lined up.

Through her Milojo Productions with husband Mark Consuelos, Ripa said: “We’re sent so many innovative products from women every day, and to be able to help them get into the marketplace is a dream come true for us.”

Product sales on HSN top $2 billion a year.
