Letterman Mocks Fox News With Top Ten List

It was a bit of a left-wing affair on ‘The Late Show with David Letterman’ last night, as the gap-toothed funnyman interviewed President Obama’s Senior Advisor David Axelrod as well as featuring a Top Ten List that mocked Fox News, riffing on the fact that they picked up a story from the Weekly World News and ran with it as if it was truth. Adding his own addendum to Fox News’ slogan, Letterman cracked “We report, you decide… we decide not to listen.”

The jokes on the list include “Accidentally said something positive about a Democrat,” “Bill O’Reilly inviting guests to enter the ‘No Pants Zone,’” a dig at Jay Leno and a clip of Glenn Beck inexplicably barking and growling like a dog that you just need to see to believe.

Last week, Letterman compared Beck to World Wrestling Federation Hall of Fame manager Bobby “The Brain” Heenan, claiming “he’s just looking to make trouble. He has no idea what he’s talking about, he just wants trouble.” He also said he’s invited Beck to be on ‘The Late Show’ several times, but Beck has never accepted.
