Your mornings just got a jolt, America, and I’m not referring to your $5 espresso.
Perky, opinionated, pot-stirring TV personality Elisabeth Hasselbeck is joining ‘Good Morning America‘ as a contributor.
Yep, you’re getting an extra shot of Bessie in the daytime starting next week when the conservative ‘View‘ co-host begins reporting for the ABC morning show.
So what are we in for, a little rise and shine and whine? Not exactly, but Hasselbeck, a sports wife and mother of three, will be covering “hot-button family, lifestyle and child-rearing issues.”
“I am thrilled to join the ‘Good Morning America’ team, and I am thankful for this opportunity to raise awareness and explore the most important issues facing parents and children,” Hasselbeck said in a statement.
Her first report will air on Monday, October 11th, and tackles the pressing issue of kids and … tattoos. According to the press release, Hasselbeck will explore “the dangers and the alternatives, as well as how parents should handle kids who come to them begging for one. Hasselbeck will also look at the growing trend of parents and kids getting tattoos together.”
I think we can all guess what Elisabeth’s view on tramp stamps might be, but maybe she’ll surprise us and deem the mommy & me tattoo trend a nice family bonding experience? Tune-in Monday bright and early to find out!
“Elisabeth brings a very distinctive style and unique perspective that fits well with the broadcast,” said Executive Producer Jim Murphy.
Hasselbeck joined ‘The View’ in November 2003, after getting her start on TV as a finalist on ‘Survivor: The Australian Outback.’
