‘CSI: NY‘s Mac Taylor (played by Gary Sinise) has a bit of an odyssey ahead of him this season, and a character played by five-time Emmy winner John Larroquette (‘Boston Legal’) promises to be one of the major complications.
In previewing the CBS drama’s new season premiering Friday, September 24, ‘CSI: NY’ showrunner Pam Veasey told Fancast, “Mac’s going through the worthy adversary phase of his career, where he goes toe-to-toe with higher-ups, formidable criminals, or people who test his judgment.”
Among those roadblocks will be Larroquette’s Ted Carver, the Deputy Chief of Manhattan Borough Detectives who made use of his political savvy to rise up the ranks. Carver and Mac will clash during multiple November sweeps episodes when a sniper appears to threaten NYC, EW.com reported.
Preceding Larroquette as another “worthy adversary” for Mac will be ‘Battlestar Galactica’ alum Edward James Olmos, who in an early Season 7 episode will guest star as “a criminal Mac put away many years ago,” Veasey tells us.
‘CSI: NY’ fans, are you excited for Mac’s Season 7 arc, where he will be tested by assorted foes?
