The Harris brothers will continue to carry on the family fishing tradition, deciding to remain with ‘Deadliest Catch,’ after a brutal season that chronicled the unexpected death of their father, Captain Phil Harris.

Josh, 27, and Jake, 24, Harris have signed new contracts with the Discovery Channel for the next season of the hit show, reports the New York Times.

The sons of the late skipper will “expand their participation” in the gripping docu-series after appearing in previous seasons as deckhands on their father’s boat, the Cornelia Marie.

Jake and Josh will receive more screen time, according to the report, to “increase their experience on the sea with the hopes of becoming captains.”

Papa would be proud.
