Fresh off his successful turn hosting the Emmy Awards on Sunday, Jimmy Fallon returned to ‘Late Night’ last night and provided an analysis of his experience on the show through his staple bit “Pros & Cons.”

An example joke: “Pro: I opened the show with a ‘Glee’ inspired song and dance number, and later performed as Elton John. Con: After the show my parents called to congratulate me on finally coming out.”

Check out the whole bit right here.

This bit came after the upbeat host earnestly thanked everyone involved with that great opening number, including Kate Gosselin. “Let me just say, fantastic,” he said about Kate. “I am a fan of hers forever. She came on, I wrote this bit kind of poking fun at her. She was totally on board, got the joke, had the sideways ponytail, everything, the ‘Dancing with the Stars’ outfit. She was such a good sport. I want to thank Kate Gosselin for doing that.”

Drew Barrymore was his first guest, and she heaped some praise on Jimmy for the job he did at the big show. “Speaking of doing the most fantastic job ever, I’m so proud to be on the show, first night back, since the Emmys,” she said to the crowd, which cheered enthusiastically. “You did the best job! It was so great!”

Fallon then described his after-party experience. “I was just so nervous, I couldn’t even really get drunk. I just couldn’t do it because I was so hyped up from the thing. I remember I was dancing with Bill Maher, and he was probably like ‘leave me alone.’”
