Stephen Colbert Skewers Dr. Laura Flap

Conservative radio host Dr. Laura Schlessinger’s recent flap about using the N-word repeatedly while talking to a black caller was addressed on The Colbert Report last night, with Stephen Colbert quipping that she’s quitting her radio show “I assume because she wants to spend more time saying the N-word with her family.”

“You may have seen the 30-year-old naked photos of us that leaked onto the internet a few years back,” he joked, before showing an image of himself with 70s sideburns photoshopped over one of Dr. Laura’s actual nude photos. “We were just very excited that Jimmy Carter lost the re-election.”

After playing the clip of her telling a black woman that “if you’re that hypersensitive about color and you don’t have a sense of humor, don’t marry out of your race,” Colbert quipped “That’s why Thomas Jefferson didn’t marry Sally Hemmings. She never laughed at his slave jokes.”

He then played a parody clip of himself from his fake radio show ‘Colbert On The Ert,’ in which just has to be seen to be believed. Check it out in the second segment of last night’s Colbert Report below, which also features some mockery of Brett Favre.
