Reality contestants are used to swimming with sharks, but a new batch of hopeful millionaires are facing getting outfoxed too.

Comedian Jeff Foxworthy has signed on to join the judges panel of ABC’s ‘Shark Tank‘ for three episodes. (Yes, you read that right.)

The network just renewed the business-based reality show from executive producer Mark Burnett (‘Survivor‘) for a second season with an eight episode order.

While it might seem like an unusual choice, the comedian will add a much needed ‘name’ (and laughs) to the show, which seeks out the next great product/idea/company to invest in.

The five ‘Sharks’ from the first season are all back in the tank too:

Real-estate mogul Barbara Corcoran; infomercial pioneer Kevin Harrington; technology expert Robert Herjavec; fashion owner Daymond John; and financial expert Kevin O’Leary.

Production on the new season begins this fall, with a return to the ABC schedule planned for fall 2011.

Before you make any ‘Are They Dumber Than a Redneck?’ jokes, recall that Foxworthy has spent several seasons getting schooled as host of the Fox game show ‘Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?‘ (also from Mark Burnett).

The sly fox also has business savvy: Foxworthy, 51, has his own line of beef jerky and barbecue sauce.
