Gale Harold, well regarded for his work on the Showtime series ‘Queer As Folk,’ will be cheering on at least one member of The CW’s ‘Hellcats’ – at least when it comes to her schoolwork.

This marks Harold’s first major TV role since having to abruptly exit ‘Desperate Housewives‘ in October 2008 after suffering critical injuries in a motorcycle accident.

The CW’s ‘Hellcats’ Flip For Hot Football Coach

‘Hellcats’ revolves around Marti, a law student who, when in desperate need of a scholarship, begrudgingly – and yet most successfully – tries out for her college’s cheer squad. When Marti isn’t flipping through the air but instead flipping through her text books, Harold will play a “professor that she meets that really looks up to,” series star Aly Michalka tells Fancast.

Now three episodes into production on the first season, Michalka says that Marti’s dreams of being a lawyer “are becoming more and more specific for the character.”

Lest anyone leap to conclusions and pencil in Marti and her teach for an illicit romance, know that the gorgeous Hellcat already has a full dance card. “There will be a love triangle when it comes to Dan, her best friend (played by ‘Harper’s Island’s Matt Barr) and Luis, who’s her base on the team (‘One Tree Hill’s Robbie Jones),” says Michalka.
