If her web page comments for her new CBS reality show ‘Got to Dance‘ are any indication, Paula Abdul is looking for contestants with a lot of enthusiasm (and exclamation points).
The bubbly former ‘American Idol‘ judge used the latter to punctuate every sentence of a post describing the qualities she’ll be seeking on the upcoming dancing auditions:
“Dancers, I want BRILLIANCE! I want INDIVIDUALITY! I’d also love to see fusions of dance. GET CREATIVE! Bring me everything you’ve got and MORE! Bring THEMES, dancers! And no matter what…KEEP DANCING! There’s something about the audition process, it’s SO exciting! Can you feel it? I CAN’T WAIT for the auditions! I CAN’T WAIT to see you dance!” she wrote on PaulaAbdul.com (punctuation and caps all hers).
To apply for a chance to audition for Paula on the show, dancers can register through www.cbs.com/dance. The nationwide search is open to all U.S. residents, as individuals or a group, with no age limit or minimum. All styles are accepted, so polish up your funky chicken and Macarena now.
‘Got to Dance’ is based on this year’s British hit. Those invited to audition will perform for Abdul and the yet-to-be-announced panel of experts (we hear Mary Murphy is – “ieeeeeeeeeee!” – available), with the best performing live in the semi-finals and finals.
