Liam Neeson is the latest big star to sign up for a guest starring role on Showtime’s highly anticipated new series, ‘The Big C.’
The 6 ft. 4 in. actor will re-team with his ‘Kinsey‘ costar Laura Linney for one episode of the upcoming dramedy to play Bee Man, “an eccentric character who Cathy (Laura Linney) consults for a possible treatment for her terminal cancer,” according to the release.
From executive producer Jenny Bicks (‘Sex and the City,’ ‘Men in Trees’), ‘The Big C’ stars Linney as a teacher dealing with cancer. Oliver Platt costars as Cathy’s husband; Brian Cox appears as her father; and ‘Precious‘ Gabourey Sidibe plays one of her sassy students.
Neeson joins Cynthia Nixon and Reid Scott among the guest-star slate for the 13-episode season, which is wrapping up shooting in Stamford, Connecticut.
‘The Big C’ debuts August 16th at 10:30 p.m./EST on Showtime, following the sixth-season premiere of ‘Weeds.’
