‘The Young & The Restless’ continues its quest to employ as many fallen stars as VH1.  On the heels of the news that recent ‘Y&R’ cast member Eric Roberts will be on the next season of ‘Celebrity Rehab‘, Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Susan Olsen, AKA Cindy on ‘The Brady Bunch‘ will play a pre-school owner on the September 1 episode of the show. 

Olsen’s last professional acting credit was in a 1999 episode of ‘Pacific Blue.’  In what sounds like a routine scene, “Reed – the son of JT and Victoria – is returning to preschool while Delia – the daughter of Chloe and Billy – is starting her first day of pre-school.”

In the past few months Sean Young and David Hasselhoff have also appeared on the show, prompting some viewers to wonder why the show is featuring so many D-listers.  In this case, the answer is clear: to generate press about a minor scene featuring an insignificant character. 

Obviously, it worked.  Tune in to see if Ms. Liza Morton, pre-school owner, wears her hair in curls.
