On Demand Today: The Runaways, The Losers, Cop Out & More

Comcast On Demand today premieres a whole slew of new movies for you to check out from the comfort of your own home. Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning rock out as Joan Jett and Cherie Currie of The Runaways, while Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Zoe Saldana lead a rough and tumble band of badasses called The Losers. Also, Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan team up for classic buddy cop hijinks in Cop Out (formerly entitled A Couple of Dicks), and for real police drama, you can check out Brooklyn’s Finest. Take a closer look at all these films below.


The Runaways
Kristen Stewart makes a splash playing Joan Jett, and Dakota Fanning breaks all the rules as Cherie Currie, the founding members of The Runaways, the seminal all-female band that paved the way for women to rock out as hard as men. Michael Shannon also stars as their enigmatically creepy and driven manager, Kim Fowley.

The Losers
Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Idris Elba, Columbus Short, Chris Evans and Oscar Jaenada are a band of soldiers who get betrayed on a mission by a high-level CIA operative named Max (Jason Patric), but manage to secretly survive the doublecross. When a mysterious new player (Zoe Saldana) enters their revenge game and offers them Max’s head on a platter, these guys have to figure out what her personal agenda is while engineering their payback.

Cop Out
Kevin Smith pays tribute to the classic buddy-cop comedy by teaming veteran on-screen officer Bruce Willis with the ridiculously insane Tracy Morgan. They’re two NYPD officers who find themselves up against an obsessive gangster whose stolen a priceless baseball card while also protecting a murder witness, so they recruit the help of a stoner thief (Seann William Scott).

Brooklyn’s Finest
Training Day director Antoine Fuqua returns with another story about dirty cops starring Ethan Hawke, but this time, King Kong might have something on ‘em. Hawke is a narcotics cop crossing every line he has to in order to support his family, Richard Gere is a burnt out cop heading into retirement, and Don Cheadle has been undercover so long he’s starting to feel himself going bad with his drug dealer buddy Wesley Snipes.
